Our Daily Support, Leasure and Lifestyle Activities

Our facility provides activities that are designed to enhance the resident’s lifestyle to encourage a sense of community and promote inclusiveness.

The following leisure and interest activities are coordinated by qualified Leisure and lifestyle officers and an excellent team of many local volunteers:

• vegetable patch and gardening
• bingo and board games
• ‘Happy Haven’ art classes
• day trips to local community events in Barham and district
• individual resident support programs
• exercise groups (including Tai Chi, Yoga and Walking groups)
• massage
• movies
• singing and music from visiting entertainers
• men’s group
• cooking and fruit bottling

Food Services

Murray Haven Homes’ catering staff provide ‘Fresh Cook’ meals on site. The meals are prepared fresh each day and accommodate the various dietary requirements each resident may have. Special occasions such as birthdays are always catered and celebrated, with consent. We are also able to cater for small family functions as required.

Domestic and Laundry Services

Murray Haven Homes provides a laundering service for all residents’ personal clothing and bedding items. All resident rooms are cleaned to maintain a healthy environment. Our cleaning staff keep our facility spotless, adhering to all infection control procedures.

Newspapers and Mail

Newspapers and magazines are delivered to residents daily as requested. All residents have their own private post box and outgoing mail is collected and posted daily.
